Dr. Kazik is an experienced performer and director in a diverse array of settings.

Washington’s Camerata

Dr. Kazik is the co-founder and Artistic Director of the period instrument ensemble, Washington’s Camerata. The group has performed at historic sites in Virginia and Maryland, including the Kennedy Center’s Millenium Stage. Their discography includes “The Trios of James Hook, op. 83”, a world premier reference recording performed on period specific flutes.

As artistic director of Washington’s Camerata, Dr. Kazik oversaw the recording of “The Trios of James Hook, op. 83” The recording is a world premier reference recording performed on period flutes.

Dr. Kazik’s discography includes “Sojourns,” Klavier (Kalmus) KCD-11099UNT with the University of North Texas Wind Symphony under the direction of Eugene Migliano Corporon

Sacred Music

In addition to the flute, Dr. Kazik is an accomplished pipe organist. She studied organ with Dr. George Edward Damp and earned her National Parish Musicians Basic Organ Certificate. She is at home in a variety of traditional and contemporary worship settings and has spent time serving congregations of various denominations.

Other Performing Credits

A versatile and in-demand performer, Dr. Kazik has appeared with diverse groups such as Fort Worth Early Music, the Texas Wind Symphony, the Rappahannock Pops, and the East Texas Symphony. She has been a featured soloist with the St. George Chamber Orchestra and the Olde Bridge Chamber Orchestra. Of all the music available to the flute, Dr. Kazik loves chamber music the most. She regularly performs on Recorder and Traverso, in addition to modern Flute.
