Study with Dr. Kazik

Dr. Kazik offers lessons to students of all ages and abilities. Beginners focus on an inclusive curriculum of tone, technique and literature. Advanced students can choose to work on more concentrated topics such as performance practice, playing from an Alexander Technique perspective, or specific literature and techniques.

  • Dr. Kazik currently boasts a 100% placement rate for students pursuing higher education on a path to careers in music. Dr. Kazik’s students have been accepted to, or have attended: IU Jacobs School of Music, the San Francisco Conservatory, Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, Oberlin Conservatory, Eastman School of Music, Boston University and many others.

  • Dr. Kazik’s students regularly place highly in All-District and All-State Bands and Orchestras. Her students have also placed in international, national, regional, and local competitions, including the Asian-American Young Artist competition, National Flute Association competitions, Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention competitions, The Army Band Young Artist competition, Piedmont Symphony Young Artist competition, the Bland Competition, the Woodbridge Flute Choir Young Artist competition, the Fredericksburg Festival of the Arts Young Artist Competition, and more!

  • Many of Dr. Kazik’s non-competitive students enjoy playing the flute for family, friends, and their respective places of worship.

  • $35 half hour/ $70 hour

  • Remote lessons are available for advanced work only. (Sorry beginners, I need to hear your tone in person!)

  • Beginning and intermediate students are encouraged to take weekly lessons for best and consistent results. Highly advanced students may schedule lessons when needed.

  • Lessons must be canceled 24 hour prior to receive a refund (with the exception of sudden illness or emergency.) Lessons missed with no call are forfeit.
